The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is contributing to HUCO Labs by bringing its experience in higher education, research and university-company collaboration.
HUCO LABS bringing together different types of stakeholders, collaboration between technical staff, researchers and companies is essential. Within the project, UPV leads Work Package 5, devoted to Monitoring and Evaluation. This role is central to ensuring that the activities, deliverables and pilot experiences developed by the consortium are implemented with high quality, coherence and impact. UPV coordinates the quality assurance process, supports the collection and analysis of evidence, and contributes to the evaluation of the project’s results. This work helps partners reflect on what is being achieved, identify areas for improvement and ensure that the HUCO Labs model can be transferred to other European contexts.
UPV’s contribution is not limited to evaluation. The university will also play an active role in the pilot phase of the project. In February 2027, UPV is expected to host four students in Valencia for a one-month internship experience connected to applied research and company-based learning. During this period, students will be exposed to a cooperation model involving vocational education, university researchers and companies, helping them understand how research-based projects are developed in real innovation environments.
