Valencia, Spain – 28 January 2026
Last week, the HUCO Labs project successfully concluded its third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) hosted by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 26 to 28 January. The three-day meeting brought together project partners, higher education institutions, vocational education and training providers, companies, and external stakeholders to review progress and co-design the next steps of the project’s implementation.
The meeting opened at the UPV Rectorate with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. José E. Capilla Romá, Rector of UPV, highlighting the strategic importance of European cooperation in driving innovation in education and skills development. Project partners then reviewed overall project coordination and management activities (WP1) and discussed the state of the art and upcoming milestones under Work Package 2 (WP2). A dedicated workshop explored the design of the new 5th level programme, the HVET–University–Company cooperation model, and emerging needs for training the trainers. The event also featured a round table with companies and stakeholders, providing valuable insights from industry and reinforcing the project’s strong link to labour market needs.

Throughout the three days, the meeting fostered constructive dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among partners, reinforcing HUCO Labs’ shared commitment to developing innovative educational pathways that respond to societal and labour market challenges.
The outcomes of the Valencia TPM mark an important step forward for the HUCO Labs project as it continues its implementation phase (2024–2027), strengthening European cooperation and contributing to the modernisation of higher education and vocational training systems.
