Karlsruhe, Germany – July 9, 2025
Earlier this week, the HUCO Labs project consortium met for its second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), held on 7–8 July 2025 in Karlsruhe, Germany, hosted by project partner Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW). The two-day event built upon the project’s momentum, reinforcing its commitment to reshaping innovation in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Strengthening collaboration across Europe
The meeting brought together representatives from all project partners—including higher vocational education institutions, universities, and industry stakeholders—to assess progress, co-develop training modules, and advance strategic coordination, fostered through both formal discussion and informal networking.
Strategic working sessions and key insights
The first day opened with a participatory welcome session encouraging partners to reflect on their roles. Highlights included presentation of the newly-developed TRIComp Framework by DHBW under Work Package 2, which sets the foundation for a European-wide skills map for mid-level technicians. Additionally, partners from ITS Cuccovillo (Italy) and CMQ MSI (France) shared plans for piloting EQF level 5 and 6 training programmes, offering cross-national perspectives on implementation. The day concluded with updates on the HUCO Labs Quality and Evaluation Plan, led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and a convivial networking dinner hosted by DHBW.
The second day focused on topics critical to project sustainability, such as project administration and financial coordination, Communication and Dissemination, and digital collaboration tools used within the project. Partners also explored emerging themes and concluded with a collective planning session outlining next steps, timelines, and individual responsibilities.

Looking ahead
The Karlsruhe meeting further fostered strong collaboration and concrete progress across all of the project’s work packages. As the project moves into the next phase, partners will focus on refining training modules, expanding stakeholder engagement, and implementing tools to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.
